Version 4.0 New Features
Improved Data Handling:
For version 4.0, Project Assistant has been given a major overall, with many modules re-written to give a much improved performance. The interface between Project Assistant and the MS Access database tables has been completely re-written from the ground up using the very latest object mapping techniques. These advancements make version 4 around 10 times faster that version 3.
Improved Integration with the Calendar:
When creating new items such as task, defects, a reminder can be added to the calendar giving you a visual note every time PA is started. In version 3, only the technical Query manager had this facility, version 4 brings this to all of the registers. reminders can be set to a number of days, or to a precise date.

Improved register Editors:
All item editors now exploit the Office 2007 style ribbon controller and have a "New Entry" feature which automatically puts a date, time and user stamp at the top of any existing text ready for your new entry to be made. This mean that new text entries are forced to the top of the page pushing older entries down.

New: Form Validation
All item editors now have user input validation has standard, if a required field is not populated correctly then the save and close function will halt and bring the errors to the user attention on a filed by filed basis.

New: User Security Built In
use the new profile manager to assign security attributes to your users, giving you complete control of your users powers. Profiles from "Read Only" to "Full Access" and anything in between can be easily setup and applied from the User Roles Manager. Project Assistant comes with 5 pre-configured "Role Profiles" for instant use and further 5 additional roles that can be configured. All of these can be edited and tailored to suit your security needs.

New: Report Names Manager
use the report names manager to assign report headers and footers to suit your individual company needs. This can bee used to add your quality assurance form information on the reports allowing them to be referenced by your quality manual.
