This section is optional, but it is recommended
From the Setup Ribbon Page,
In the "Setup" group, click the "Mange Pick List" button
The following window will be displayed:
On the left is the register section navigator, click the register for which you want to edit the list item. The next window is a table of “List Names” and on the right is a table of items that belong to that list. eg The current selection on the left is "Technical Query", and the List name selected is “Priority Types" while on the right is a list of the available priority types such as Approved0, Approved Subject To Comments and Rejected. You can now add your own Priority Types to the list and remove any priority types that are not relevant.
The pick list manager is Project Assistant way of giving you the power to configure what gets added to the drop down boxes that are used throughout the application and what icons should be displayed against your list items. Take time to select each list name in turn and review the members of each list.

Application Names Pick Lists
From the Configuration Item register Don’t worry about how relevant these are just yet but be aware that you can add edit or delete any of the items that you see. Try double clicking on of the list items and familiarise yourself with how to change them. You can Add, Edit or Delete these entries in the usual way by either clicking the relevant button or double clicking an existing entry to bring up the list item editor popup:
On the popup, enter your desired list text, optional Mnemonic and description and then assign an icon from the display icon dropdown to visually represent your list item as shown below:
There are over 170 pre-defined icons for you to choose from. First of all, there are a couple of lists that need to be edited now and they are the “System Names” and Compiler Names”
The System Names list:
This list should represent all the systems you will build and deliver as part of your project. For example if you have 12 PLC’s and 2 SCADA systems, you should make an entry for each PLC and each SCADA system.
The Compiler Names:
This list should represent the compilers you will use to build your PLC and SCADA software programs, for example if the PLC’s are from Mitsubishi then your compiler may be GX IEC Developer. If the PLC’s are from Rockwell Automation, your compiler may be RSLogix 5000. Likewise for your SCADA, the application you are using to develop the SCADA should be entered here. When you have entered your system and compiler names and reviewed all the other lists, Close the screen by clicking the close button. You can now go to step 6
