Main Features:

The main new features in release 4.1 are:

 

Application Level Features:

FOR-76: Add Options Shortcuts to the Main Editor Pages

FOR-82: Projects Editor, add a check box to allow you to display all fields

FOR-86: Add facility to remove a license and transfer to a new machine

FOR-87: Display the time and date the last time a record was edited.

FOR-100: Apply Conditional Formatting Without Restarting

FOR-117: The "Show Calendar" option on the setup page should be removed and calendar should always be visible

FOR-109: Unhandled Exception Manager, add "Copy" to clipboard button for crash details

FOR-119: Currently a user does not know if a user preference has been setup or if global user preference are being used.

FOR-121: Add the project information to the Quick View" page title

FOR-122: Unavailable Navigation Bar preferences should be disabled when not available.

FOR-138: Copy the "Subject" line from any of the registers

FOR-143: Provide some form of cross reference between a CI and any associated Defects, TQ or Change Requests

 

Calendar Features:

FOR-124: Auto assign Resource for new appointment to current user

FOR-125: Pre Define the Start and End times for an all day event (such as 9am to 5pm)

FOR-131: The calendar should be "skinned" to match currently selected skin

FOR-132: Ability to assign a project to each appointment

FOR-133: Ability to define the "All Day" Start and End times [Duplicate with 125]

FOR-134: Ability to display the appointment status from the calendar

FOR-135: Change the Calendar visible times when in day view mode

FOR-136: Display Appointment Times in Month View

FOR-137: Create new appointment defaults similar to creating a new defect

FOR-156: Add spell checking to new appointment form

 

Change Control Manager Features:

FOR-140: Provide traceable link from "Change Request" back to the CI Register

FOR-164: Add Change Control report including all links

 

Configuration Item Manager Features:

FOR-85: Add File Location Field to the CI Register

FOR-106: Add a "Group" Field to the Configuration Items (CI) Register

FOR-142: Add functional baseline field to CI Register

FOR-144: Add CI Revisions default status as "Waiting Response"

FOR-163: Add CI report including all links

 

Defect Manager Features:

FOR-97: Add "Fix Build" column to the "Grouping" drop down.

FOR-139: Provide traceable link from defect back to the CI Register

FOR-141: When creating a "Change Request" from a Defect, the defect status & log should be amended

FOR-162: Add Defect report including found links

 

Task Manager Features:

FOR-101: Add Option not to strikeout Tasks

 

Technical Query Manager Features:

FOR-102: Add Conditional Formatting For Technical Queries

FOR-103: Add additional Status mapping For Technical Query Closed

 

New Feature Spotlight

 

Register linking:

FOR-164: Add Change Control report including all links

FOR-163: Add CI report including all links

FOR-162: Add Defect report including found links

FOR-140: Provide traceable link from "Change Request" back to the CI Register

FOR-139: Provide traceable link from defect back to the CI Register

 

This is by far the biggest change in version 4.1, and brings with it some major improvements on item traceability. Driven by user support request this has had an impact on the register Editors and has also created three new reports.

FOR-86: Add facility to remove a license and transfer to a new machine

The License Manager has been remodelled to simplify the license process.

A License Remove feature has been implemented allowing a license to be transferred to another machine.

FOR-87: Display the time and date the last time a record was edited.

This display has been added to each of the main editors

 

FOR-121: Add the project information to the Quick View" page title

Improved header for quick view reports

FOR-117: The "Show Calendar" option on the setup page should be removed and calendar should always be visible

FOR-100: Apply Conditional Formatting Without Restarting

FOR-109: Unhandled Exception Manager, add "Copy" to clipboard button for crash details

FOR-138: Copy the "Subject" line from any of the registers.

Select the rows to copy and the copy subject feature will copy just the number and subject of each selected row. Can be invoked by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C

 

Calendar Specific Features:

A new "Calendar Defaults" option has been added to the options page to address the following issues:

FOR-124: Auto assign Resource for new appointment to current user

FOR-125: Pre Define the Start and End times for an all day event (such as 9am to 5pm)

FOR-131: The calendar should be "skinned" to match currently selected skin

FOR-132: Ability to assign a project to each appointment

Change Control Manager Specific features:

Configuration Item Register Specific Features:

FOR-85: Add File Location Field to the CI Register

FOR-106: Add a "Group" Field to the Configuration Items (CI) Register

Two new fields have been added to the CI Register, these will be automatically created and will blank for existing records

FOR-142: Add functional baseline field to CI Register

You can now create a baseline table for each configuration item to identify the baseline documents it has been designed/created against.

In the above screenshot, the Functional Design Specification has been design to the incoming User Requirements Specification Rev B3, which was received on 2nd July. Obviously a design baseline can include a number of documents and drawings etc, therefore a table has been provided and baseline items can be added to the table provided they have first been registered as a configuration item. Only configuration Items can be added to the baseline table.

FOR-149: Make the CI Editor & other Editors as compatible as possible

 

Defect Manager Specific Features:
