Creating a New Database

From the "File" group, Click the "New" button

The following form will be displayed:

Step 1: Use the folder browser to select a destination folder.

Step 2: Type in the name of the new database. (Typing a new name for the database will enable the "Create Button")

Step 3: Click the Create Button.

A new database will be created for you, but not loaded. To load the new database use the file open option.

 

Import Settings Option

If you have previously created a database, you may decide to import some or all of the settings for your new database rather than re-creating them.

To do this simply click the "Import Settings" check box, then using the file selection browser to select a valid project Assistant database to import the settings from.

Step 1: Use the folder browser to select a destination folder.

Step 2: Type in the name of the new database. (Typing a new name for the database will enable the "Create Button")

Step 3: Use the file select browser to select a valid Project Assistant database. (a valid database is indicated by the Database Info window)

Step 4: Click the Create Button.

If you select a database not recognised by Project Assistant the following will be displayed and the "Create Button" will be disabled.
