Exporting Your Task To Microsoft Excel
Step 1: Start MS Projects and load the file you want to export your tasks from.
Step 2: From the "File" Menu Select "SaveAs"

Step 3: From the Save File Dialogue Box, Select the "Microsoft Excel Workbook" option

When you have selected the Excel format click the Save Button to continue.
Step 4: The Export wizard will now be invoked and w welcome screen displayed

From here simply click the "Next" button to continue
Step 5: Select the "Selected Data" radio button as shown below:

When this is selected, click the Next button to continue
Step 6: Select "Use Existing Map" as shown below

When this is selected, click the Next button to continue
Step 7: Select "Task and Resource Pivot Table" from the list

The most appropriate map to closely match Project Assistants Task Manager is the Task and Resource Pivot Table.
When this is selected, click the Finish button and your Excel file will be created.
